"What?"
Near the end of his swim, Ryan was so cold and numb he started to believe he could warm up by pretending to be an otter.
We said goodbye to the lake, the trees, and 50,000 of Ryan's now frozen braincells.
"Oh god oh god oh god oh god."
Ryan takes a break to adjust his shorts, dry his hair, and watch some squirrels have sex on the shore.
The beginning of a new game: Rock, mountain, net. Still working on the rules.
Ryan finally makes some ripples.
The first few test rocks Ryan threw in drown and never resurfaced. This gave him pause.
(internal) "I'd totally go back on my promise not to swim naked, but the water IS rather cold."
The bottom goes out for a couple feet, then drops off more than a thousand. Really. Oh, and it's ice cold.
This is Ryan having second thoughts about wading into the abyss.
By counting all those rings, you can clearly tell that the tree is dead.
The only thing that broke the stillness was the trail of a boat traveling to the other side for a jamboree.
Sean's hatred of stillness culminated in the use of his grenade launcher against the mighty waters of Crater Lake.
Ryan wanted me to get a shot of him looking thoughtful so that he could show it to friends who still doubted he could read.
