It was so cold that everyone's pants stuck to the ice cold rock. After a lot of heavy breathing and some vigorous rubbing, everyone was free of their sitting prison. They promised never to speak of this incident again.

Steve was playing rock paper scissors with the camera man to see who got to tell Shasta that she had a giant scorpion on her back.

The view was quite breathtaking. Not as breathtaking as it was for those 3 tourists we choked to death, but still...
This is the view from one of the gondolas we took up the mountain. Yup, that's pretty much it.
Steve, a firm believer in the "If I don't see us plummeting to our doom hundreds of feet below, I'll be OK" train of thought, hung on for dear life.
We had to crest this mountain in our little gondola. It didn't help matters that our gondola operator kept saying "And if you'll look slightly to our left and down about 300 feet, you'll see the remains of the old gondola before we figured out this whole mountain thing."
Alex, pointing out that his life insurance policy expressly stated no benefits would be rewarded for "gondola and/or suspended car accidents of any kind", wished he had paid the extra 50 cents to get coverage.
20 degree weather didn't agree with Steve. The scorpion Shasta had placed in Steve's glove held similar views.
Sean and Alex had dragged Lora backwards around the rink 3 times already. When they reached the beginning, they patiently waited for her to take back her statement that "Voyager was the best Trek series".
This is what it looked like off the far end of the skating rink. There were hands of a 30 something woman holding onto those rails, desperately clawing for a better grip as she slipped closer and closer to her rocky demise, but I've photoshopped them out.
No reason to obscure the view and depress everybody. Am I right?
Why this guy with the bucket was shoveling chum onto the rink, I'll never know.
The figure skater had some beautiful moves. His friend (lower left), tried to call to him when the first cracks in the ice appeared, but it was no use. The skater sank to the bottom with style, no points for the water landing though.
